Nlite treatment is based around the improvement of your own natural collagen levels. Collagen is a protein (Biological polymer with amino acids) which operates as a key structural factor for connective tissue. The inner layers of skin, the dermis contains large amounts of collagen. The fibres link together and form a strong supporting structure which denotes an individuals characteristics such as elasticity, strength, texture and tone. As collagen starts deteriorating after the age of 22, cells known as fibroblasts replace damaged, broken down collagen fibres with new. You will have an initial Consultation with one of Vitality's Highly Qualified Clinicians who are all members of the Health Professional Council and have vast knowledge and experience with the use of class 4 lasers. You will be required to fill out a medical questionnaire with the assistance of our Clinicians. You will then have a thorough assessment of the area which you would like treated, you will be explained the whole procedure and all of your questions will be answered. On your initial consultation a patch test will be undertaken to ensure you will be receiving the most effective level of intensity for your skin type. You will be required to wear stainless steel protective goggles to protect your eyes, the laser will be calibrated to the correct intensity and introduced to your skin. The hand piece gently touches your skin and the energy released. Your Clinician will move the hand piece over the target area of skin to be treated and sometimes double passing over areas to be concentrated on. To treat the whole face takes approximately 20 minutes, although it is advised to have a microdermabrasion treatment prior to Nlite treatment to further improve the benefit of the Nlite treatment.
